The Stooges Go Polka!

Well, not polka, but this group from Chicago does play instrumental versions of Stooges classics on trombone and tuba (and drums). No guitars, tho it does sound rather dirty 'n' distorted at times. It also sounds really, really good.

This guy Mike Hagedorn and his 4boxs label is so great! I love it really. Reminds me somehow of Ergo Phizmiz cause of the attitude maybe, wich I also got introduced to here in your wonderful blog.
Thanks for the great work!

Thanks alot for the re-up!
Being just an occasional maniac I
don't frequently visit your blog,
but a couple of times a year I get
drawn here (must be magnetic links).

Sure glad I stumbled accross this
one, great stuff, sounds like a tribute but could be a parody...

Gotta say, I've been living with this one for a few months now, and it's really grown on me. Somehow the distorted, spattery horns do justice to the Stooges. Their version of "Dirt" is just hellish! This is a great post, man! I've lost track of how much great stuff I've gotten off your blog.
