FIVE YEARS, WHAT A SURPRISE...

...sang Bowie. Not many music blogs been around this long, have they? 650 posts! At first, knowing very little about computers, I used to link directly to other site's mp3s. I was so naive! Sorry for any bandwidth I sucked. I suck. We went from the generic look to a more custom design. Then started adding pictures, YouTube came along, then file-storing sites so I could share entire albums for free. And so it goes...

So, tell me: Likes, dislikes? Intense hates? Any life-changing events associated with this here web-log? Your band ever cover/you ever sample a tune you first heard here? Just how are you celebrating?

I wish you'd post more full albums!

(I can understand why you wouldn't though)

Got a couple in the pipeline - albums that I write about a while back that are now out-of-print. Stay tuned!

Is more old thrift-store vinyl desired? I don't go down that route often since there are plenty of blogs that do that already. But there's certainly no shortage of strong candidates in my record closet...

Likes! Used the mashups I downloaded thanks to you in a party. People found them weird.

There's usually one or more things that make their way from your blog to my podcast each month, but then you already know that I'm sure.
Long may it continue for the sake of my casts if nothing else.

you are one of the few music feeds that i've kept. thanks for the in-depth stuff, thanks for the pointers to others sites and "thank you for the music, for giving it to me."

Happy 5th birthday!

Personally, I'm a big fan of musicians using unconventional means to create music, such as the Scavenger Quartet and the Boston Typewriter Orchestra.

I'm also a huge fan of the mashups you feature.

But most of all, I love not knowing what's coming up next, so keep doing that voodoo that you do so well.

Happy Birthday! This has been and continues to be one of my all-time favorite music blogs. I love that you take the time to actually write about the music you post and you've turned me on to things I probably would never have heard before.

I hope this blog continues well into the future.

As a newcomer to the site, I was immediately taken by what you've got going here. That was two years ago. . . been reading (and listening) ever since.

Thanks.

The thing I love about this blog is that every time you recommend something it just blows me away. I feel like I've discovered something no one else has ever listened to before.

Keep up the excellent work!
